I am retired and in my 60’s. I really would like to go back to work but have not had any success in getting hired. My age seems to be a deciding factor. Any suggestions?

Start your own business. What is that you like to do. You can drive Uber or Lyft early mornings for extra cash, it averages about $80 to $100 a day. You can go back to school, start a cleaning business. Hopes this helps.
