Will misdemeanors and civil violations come up on a cori background check?

I have some of these from back when I was young and stupid but I haven’t been checking the ‘box’ on applications.

What can be asked by an employer (felonies/ misdemeanors/ DUIs) and what can be provided by background check services varies widely between states. Check to see what's applicable and legal in your state.

Many states are making it illegal for employers to make you answer that question until after a conditional offer of employment has been made. You should check out whether this is now true in your state. And don't assume that if they ask, that it must be legal.

You can request your personal Cori report through your states website, see www.state.ma.us/chsb/cori/cori_forms.html
