Went from being a cashier to cleaning bathrooms

I am depressed ,I had a decent job working at Chevron as a closer and cashier but I was only getting 28hours per week which isn't enough to live on. So I decided to beg for a job at Walmart in which I have been hired twice but decided not to take the positions, so I begged for a position doing overnight maintaince. Where basically all i do is clean bathrooms , gather up carts and do trashes . The position is full time and it's a lot less stress than Chevron and I actually get my breaks than but now here I am feeling like i took a step down from being a cashier to cleaning bathrooms. I talked to my manager today and he says he wants me doing maintaince for at least 6 months and I am not sure if I can handle doing that position for 6 months . I feel like saying "hey dude " I am normally a cashier and I have a lot more to offer walmart than just cleaning the bathrooms. I am stuck, Chevron won't hire me back because I quit so where do I go from here? I am depressed and I need a door to open somewhere because no offense I have a lot to offer a business and I am good at customer service and I am a natural leader .

Melissa Massey don't focus so much on where you are but where you're going. Walmart is a big company and there's no telling how high you can go if you believe in yourself and do good work. There's no shame in cleaning bathrooms and six months is not a long time as long as you're working.
