Music in the Office

my coworker plays loud obnoxious offensive music at the office. No one else seems to mind except myself. Most of the songs are very vulgar and make me uncomfortable. and its played so loud that it fills up the whole office space. How can I approach my coworker without sending out a passive aggressive email?

Edmond, if listening to music is accepted there then why not bring headphones and play your own music? That way you don't have to confront anyone.

Talk to your boss. Maybe they could send out an email asking for the music to be changed/turned down. That way, this coworker wont know it was you

Instead of saying you find it uncomfortable, you could try saying you find the volume "distracting," which won't insult their taste in music.
