The Waiting Game.
Hello, I hope everyone is having a good start to 2018. So I received a phone call from a Medical Staffing agency about my resume. They stated that had an opening for a Eligibility Specialist ( Verifying Med Ins ) . So they set up the interview for Dec 27 ( Wed ). So I showed up and after the interview the interviewer said they had a 2 others to interview but, I should know something by Friday. Well Friday came and went and I heard nothing. So I figured they must be all off till the first of the year. So I waited till the following week and I have called and emailed and I can’t seem to talk to anyone. This is the most frustrating thing about jobs. You interview and then the waiting game begins.. This is why reason I dislike having to go through a temp agency and I try to avoid them. But, they contacted me and it sounded like a really good job opportunity. So now I just don’t know what to do. But, don’t worry I m not banking everything on this job I m still applying to other places as well. I was just curious if any of y’all have delt with this before. Thank you for your time.. Good Luck to everyone still looking... Rachel

Yes, Rachel the waiting game is something else! I'm down that road myself. Still applying other places as well which, I think is the best approach at this point.
Don't worry, pretty soon we'll both have Multiple offers and we can look back at this and hopefully chuckle.
All the best to you in THE SEARCH.

Yea, too often..... Just remember this when u do land a really good job....

its a job trying to get a job anymore. You have to just keep applying and praying..God will bless you in his timing.

waiting 5 months after first applying and 3 after second interview! man... i thought i really nabbed it too! and a friend on the inside said job has not been filled yet i still am clinging to a dental floss of hope.... fingers x

Hi Rachel, Happy New Year to you as well : ) I am sorry for your negative experience, I had a similar one myself with a company in which I had 4 interviews and then they said "We are having a hard time making a decision" and then didn't get back to me. If they are not responding to your emails or a call I would suggest moving on and knowing that you dodged a bullet. How they conduct themselves speaks volumes about their company, which does not sound professional. Keep looking and scratch that one off the list. If they get back to you great, if not you will have some back up's. If they don't get back to you, just know that it's for the best and you will find an employer who will be responsive and treat you with the respect you deserve. Thinking of you Rachel! Let us know if you need anything. Stay positive this 2018!
Forget it and move on. Don't play the waiting game. Interview, go home and write the thank you note and then move on to applying for more jobs. Treat each interview like it is practice for the next one so you can keep your focus forward.
Business manners have become abominable but there is nothing you can do about that. I recommend that the end of each interview, ask about next steps, what their timeline is and if you can call back in a week or so. Don't waste energy relying on them to get back to you, you can't control that.
