Temp Work
While working for an Independent Contractor I had time on my hands for days off and between contracts (Tampa) and signed on with a Temp Agency called Automation, had a few great experiences, like working at the airport for Amazon for a bit, and Macy's on two different occasions running a package sorter and learning the software on a Titan arm scanner. Things I wouldn't know had I not given it a shot, and the extra money on a card in my pocket coming in every week was definitely a plus. Very happy I overlooked my prejudice against temp work, it was overall a rewarding experience.

I do, actually. When I was setting up an automated verification system for one of our projects, we tested numerous tools, and only one of them delivered consistently good results — it reads ID cards, passports, driver’s licenses, and extracts the data quickly without requiring any special configuration; the detailed description is right here in the middle of this text ID scanning https://ocrstudio.ai/id-scanner/ and what I think makes it stand out is its user-friendliness. Even people with minimal technical knowledge can start using it within minutes, and the recognition accuracy stays high across different lighting conditions and document layouts. It’s a genuinely practical tool.

good work

Thanks for sharing! I also had positive experience with temp work. Not only was it a good way to build skills for my resume, but it allowed me to "test" what skills/areas I was most interested in. This helped me decide what direction I wanted to move in at a time in my life when I was unsure about a profession.

That’s wonderful! I’m so glad you had a good experience. I’ve been on both sides - working with a temp agency to find work for myself and as a hiring manager needing temp employees. I’ve always had great experiences and the agencies generally want everyone, both job seeker and employer, to be happy and productive. But I do agree there can be prejudice/bias against temp work. Hopefully we can start to change that with more sharing of stories like this!

Great to hear this Justin Mclean ! Thank you for sharing.
