Professional Advice needed

I have been a receptionist for 4 months now. I like my job well enough, but the workplace can be hostile and there is an abnormally high turn over rate. About 7 girls to be fired or quit in my first 90 days. I dont want to leave unless I go somewhere with better pay and a better environment. I've applied places but gotten no response. I really want to be an insurance agent, but can not seem to get my foot in the door....

Kimberly, I think a huge part of making a career transition is to have people vouch for you and have connections! Have you considered looking for a local meetup of insurance agents in your area? They can probably give you advice on what steps to take and they'll be great connections in the industry.

Hi Kimberly Harris ! This [article] (https://work.chron.com/courses-needed-become-insurance-agent-14059.html) should help you focus a bit more on how to go about getting your foot in the door! If you would like more work as a receptionist just follow these steps to search and apply!

1. Click on Jobs & Companies at the top of the page, or head over [here] (http://www.jobcase.com/jobs/search)

2. Enter a job into the search field where it says Job Title, Keywords, or Company.

3. Add in your location by filling in your City and State OR zip code. Then click the magnifying glass to search.

4. Once the list is up, click on “View Job" of any you are interested in and then apply.

Wishing you the best of luck with your job search!
