I have been through this recently. I hired an attorney had to go to a hearing and won my unemployment. I also sued for an overtime issue and got a small settlement. What I found out is employees have almost no rights. Employers can treat you anyway they want unless they break discrimination laws, sexual harassment and overtime laws you have no legal recourse. Document everything for your records in case you need to fight unemployment or you can find a way to sue. Very upsetting to be treated like trash and there's noting that can done but unfortunately that's the law. I live in ca. Some things may be differnt depending on the state. Btw HR is for the company they lie, falsify documents etc. they are not on your side. I was Also advised to tape the conversations of the abusive treatment. Unemployment will listen to tapes. Again that's in ca. Good luck. Get out if you can.

Go to your human resources department and let them know what is going on, and if nothing is done about it then take the next step of chain of command until you get the information or results you are looking for.

I just may be the droid you are looking for.

Does your company have an HR department? That's where you need to go. And just say these magic words: "Hostile work environment lawsuit."

YOU MUST REPORT THIS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR IN YOUR STATE, YOU GO TO LABOR STANDARDS AND REPORT IT TO THEM THEY MIGHT INVESTIGATE AND FIND OUT WHAT IS GOING ON, PLUS THEY KEEP A FILE OF THIS EMPLOYER AND THE DIRTY THINGS THEY ARE UP TO.
