Given up and will always be a low wage worker.

I have resigned myself that I will always be a low wage worker, in a crappy part of the state. I can't give anymore emotion to even thinking of moving on up in life. Not worth it. I have to much baggage for employers to want to hire me. I am done fighting, not worth the energy or time.

If you think so negatively then sure this will always happen to you, if you don’t put in effort then keep going at it if it makes you happy to live with such unlivable wages. Or can go back to school and get certified I’m something that provides a decent income, something you don’t have to pay school fees for.

If your wages are THAT low, you can probably get a grant for education to either change what you're doing to what you may want to do, or to get that higher paying position you've wished for in the past.

Dude I've been exactly where you're at. I too live in a part of my state that has few REAL job opportunities. So I decided to do something that will not only almost certainly guarantee me employment but something that would challenge me. The opportunities are out there wether or not you live in the "crappy part of the state" dude.

Life is what YOU make it!!!. Most people hit brick walls at one point in their lives. The challenge is to get through the wall. Don't give up! Workers become supervisors, managers. Moving up financially means working hard towards that promotion. Jim Carrey and countless other people lived in their cars, never giving up until they made it. The Devil wants to discourage, frustrate, and torment. Trust in God to see you through.

Mike, a resigned attitude is NOT ACCEPTABLE! The baggage you carry is going to be cast off by law even if you won't let it go. There are so many avenues for self-improvement (online courses for HS degrees, GEDs, and College degrees where you are not judged by your past, but your potential) allowing you to shed the past and make a new start. HOWEVER, that is a choice for you to make and many online courses let you pay as you go! I've achieved my Paralegal Certification and am currently working on a BS degree in Criminal Justice while working and volunteering. There is always hope as long as your aspirations are to rise above your past and grab a hold of the future as yet unwrit.

Put an end to that misery, believe in yourself, and believe in GOD! Read the bible, think positive, smile, apply all training you received on the jobs and make the most out of it, starting a new job switch gears or just simple working from home is the best think you can do, all you need is a computer and able to read understand English, just elaborate what you like to do and somehow apply it, I’m an older lady and my job got eliminated, I applied all what I learned on the job, at school, I learned a little bit how to manage computers and I make a lot of money 5k when is a low month. I do investments I discovered I like numbers, so I work with it. Good lock and God bless you!
