Jobs
I have applied to 4 of the businesses that will be at this event and not a one responded, it's going on a whole month now, so what makes this job fair any different when they still don't respond.

Is it possible to get hired on the spot

Good question Tashona Davis ! I'd say there's a 90 - 95% chance your online application never made it to an actual managers hands due to the automated application tracking systems companies use to pre-screen employers.
In fact, most of the most qualified applicants who submit online application ever do. The advantage you and other qualified and confident job seekers have at this and/or any other hiring event is an opportunity to meet directly, that is, face to face with the folks who are directly involved in the hiring process. This has always been - and still is the BEST method to secure employment opportunities.
Stop by if you have an opportunity but make sure you come prepared to present your case for the best candidate.
Best of Luck to you moving forward Tashona Davis

ms./or, mrs. davis, me trinita darke, yes, im, doin- a business sells....needed, an loan it"s-not enough, but, im, must, claim that too,... amen
Tashona, some companies use an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) that weed out applications/resumes that don’t match the key points in the job description. As a result, your information may never make it to the HR officer. Companies use this system because many of them get 75 to 100 resumes/applications per position. The difference with going to the Citywide Job Fair is you get to make a first impression and talk to the representatives directly. I hope to see you there.
