Call center etiquettes
I've been working call centered agent jobs forever. This is the only occupation that I've excelled in and consider to be a career move. Although, getting hired and maintaining employment through this field is not what it's expected to be. I'm told how polite I am and how I don't have disgruntled customers to deal with like other agents. I'm told that I do this job exceedingly well but I am either fired or forced to quit. I enter these jobs with ambition and work ethic and learning that this role as an employee and the call center doesn't carry any work ethic at all and is spinning my life into a whirlwind that my career choice as rejected my professionalism. If your reading this...know that these kinda jobs call center jobs plays favoritism and are not seeking seriously minded working professionals to fill their roles as an CSR. What's next for me only this New Year will provide. I currently have no direction.

Please know that you are talented, strong, and intelligent, and you WILL find the right company who will appreciate your ambition and talent. Try and be selective when you are interviewing- if possible get a sense of the culture in the office so that you can truly focus on your career instead of office politics. I've been in that field as well and can totally relate to your frustration. There are decent companies out there, but keep in mind that the call centers are going to be gossip mills where so many people tend to spend their free time stirring the pot with other agents. Best of luck to you and maybe pursue a remote position where you can work from home!!
