Union vs Non-Union Jobs

What’s it like working in a unionized company? Are there any benefits I can’t find at other non-union jobs?

Go union if have the option because you can be vocal about your employment rights without the fear of being fired. It also has allot to do with the industry too. You won’t see to many white collar workers complaining about not having a union.

I worked for a job with a union labor years ago and the attraction or big benefit for me at that time was the sense of job security and pay. I felt a little more protected from supervisors that wanted to fire me for no reason and the hourly pay was a bit more than or nonunion jobs. Although you end up paying it back in dues. I don’t see too much benefit in unions now because companies have been improving employee relations and adding more benefits/incentives to employment packages. I guess it also depends on the industry for example I don’t think you can get around working for an auto manufacture without being part of a union.
