Really over my employer
I have applied for 18 positions at my employer and I have not received any promotions.Long story short, if you are not in the clique of the good o’l boys, you will not get promoted. Doesn’t matter if you are qualified and have an education. My employer goes as far as changing the qualifications to get their buddy in that position. Bottom line, I AM DONE WITH THE GOOD O’L BOYS MENTALITY.

It’s the struggles that make us stronger- unfortunately this is the new workforce - know that when you come into an agency - IF the culture is cutthroat - sonis leadership.
The Culture of the Agency tells you a lot about your Leadership & you then know - if it’s you - you’ll get ahead - IF Not - Get Out! Don’t Look Back- Run - They will eventually be faced with their own Demons.

Maybe it’s time to ask God to open a Door!

I am with you. The company I work for is ..... I talked with some people and they all said the same thing "it very hard to get the position, keep trying" But I kept seeing the position keep opening and closed. I am looking for another job. I wouldn't stay.

"...clique..." - know the lingo, get noticed.

If your employer offers no encouragement or opportunity for advancement, it may be time to move on. Update your resume but, don't quit your job until you find a new one.

Jay, not all employers are like that. It may be time to explore greener pastures. More innovative companies appreciate the best and brightest, but a limiting factor tends to be AGE. They may they are an EOE, but When it comes to age, they are not!

Hi Jay,
It might be time to sell greener pastures elsewhere. Why would you want to be a part of that? If you feel is worth it, then keep trying but honestly i feel you deserve n can do better.

What company or field?

Hi Jay Davis it might be time to think about a new company and opportunities. It sounds very political there and I have also been a part of that. It's not a good situation to be in, I'm sorry.
Is an advancement worth leaving ? Remember the devil you know is better than the one you don’t. How old are you? What do you have to fall back on? Important things to consider. I’m talking dad to son.
