Seafood Clerk at Stop And Shop

THANK YOU to all that responded to my blacklisting question. You were all very helpful to me. That being said I think that working where there is a union in place is the way to go! At least you have some kind of back up. There was none where I worked for two decades. When I began working there , the managers seemed to back us up. But the years went by that seem to lessen. My last two managers { I have nine managers in 20 years} all seem to have their own agenda THEMSELVES! I would rather pay union dues for some representation.

Sandra, It's good to have a union representative advocating for your employment security and benefits but it's just as important to get along with management and the organization leadership. You never know if you'll be a contender for one of those roles. Use diplomacy whenever possible.
