My teaching experience
Teaching was a very rewarding experience for me. I was a Kindergarten teacher for 25+ years. Many days I headed home feeling that the students had taught me more than I them. Young children are not judgmental or opinionated . They accept you as you are blemishes and all. I always wanted my students to feel comfortable at school. Positive reinforcement was my choice of discipline. One day as I was explaining to a student that I always liked him even when I didn’t like what he was doing. He said I like you when I don’t like what you are doing too.

Well said, Becky. I started out in public schools, inner city. It was not easy at times. Sometimes, in the early days, I could be a bit of an ogre-perhaps a loving one. By the time I became a special needs teacher during my last 30 years, I found myself in an environment of caring, positive, team-oriented colleagues. Teaching is, perhaps, not supposed to be easy. It's a huge responsibility. It can be very rewarding, especially everyone of the staff at your school are one the same page of positive reinforcement.

Well done Becky, we sure can use more teachers like you! I feel sorry for children nowadays because of all this gender confusion being promoted, it can't be good for them!

Very uplifting. We need more posts like this!
Where I live , the profession is so competitive and if you do land a job..they try n do everything to eliminate you. Other jobs also alot of backstabbing. Women against women mostly. Queen Bee Syndrome. I wrote a Soc paper on it. I'd like to see a woman as President b4 I die but I doubt it will happen. Thanks for reading.
