Desperate!!

So I’ve been working for this little call center setting appointments. At first I was so excited because I haven’t worked in years! Like many years... but now that some time has passed and I’ve gotten a few paychecks I’m finding that there’s little that excites me at all with working there. Their thing is hourly vs. commission... but when I am making those appointments they’re not being paid for! So my paycheck was a little over $100.00 for one weeks worth of work! That’s 35 hours and a ton of BS if you ask me. I’m on the verge of just walking out. I take public transportation for now and sometimes it takes me 4 hours to get there!! And I’m all honesty, I’m not very good at this type of work. Setting appointments to homeowners at 9:00 pm when people are crawling in to bed isn’t Easy, and then attempting to make an appointment for some company they’ve never heard of...

Some people in the office make $ 1400.00 I’m one week. Lord knows I’d love to have that kind of money!! (Who wouldn’t??) So now I’m still working, but I am definitely looking for something different as soon as possible. Christmas is just a couple weeks away and I’ve gotten a couple things for my kids but nowhere near what my goal is. So if anybody knows about the new position in my area please feel free to message me thank you so much

You say that sone in that office make 1400.00 a week, what is it that they do that could benefit you? It ne er hurts to ask questions also ask if there is a way that you could sit in on their calls just for training purposes i did call center for A large company and if i felt like i needed more training they where glad to help because the more you learn and are making them money they will put the effort in and if you do a good job and let them see your worth the training it sounds like there is opportunity there. But im not kidding there is no way i could commute 4 hours to work one way on a bus oh heck no..Why is the job so far, do you live in an area thats not very populated where there are closer jobs..i think that would be your best bet. Good luck to you and Merry Christmas.

Start looking for something better and try to bare with this until you find something else. Research call centers in your area and see if some of them might be hiring? Check the qualifications for the positions to see if they will train someone with little to no experience? Also are there businesses close to where you live that you could check with for job opportunities? To save you on the long 4 hour commute to this job? Do you have friends or family you could ask to see if their company might be hiring or a company they know about that you might have an opportunity to apply for. I'm trying to come up with possibilities for you to give you something to really go on. Nothing is worse than a long commute to a job that doesn't pay well and leaves you disappointed and disgusted going to work.

Where’s your area located? Lots of public transportation. Find another job give em a two weeks notice in case you want to come back. Others making $1400 in a week is not bad. Hope you can do it

Drug And Alcohol Counselor at Universal Health Services

I been working for same company for over 7 yrs. same pay never a raise. Coworker and boss speak to you one day next they ignore you. Boss started taking money off my paycheck because he said things are rough in the company so I worked all those hrs and then he pays me what he wants. Sometimes he gives a check other times cash without me asking. It’s gotten soo bad that I need to leave and get another job

I suggest you start poking around remote call center positions, such as those offered by Kelley Services. This can get you reasonable income from home if you have call center experience and a quiet room to conduct your calls from. Go through the two weeks at your current role and be done.

CDL A Driver with endorsements

Go get a CDL. OTR trucking is a really easy job. You get to see the country, make over 4k/mo to start, after taxes. Almost all reputable companies have automatic transmission trucks now. I love it. Only been doing it 2.5 years, but got the wife trained and licensed, now we make 8-9k per month with just a cell bill and car ins to contend with. We can literally move ANYWHERE and find a job within a day. We have our little doggies with us and the company just gave us a brand new 2020 truck. Has workstation, microwave, inverter, sat TV, auto trans, rides smooth enough to sleep in while the other is driving. We get quarterly fuel savings and safe operations bonuses typically in the 800-1500 range after taxes too!

MOST states have direct payment programs that pay a truck driving school to train you. Michigan puts lots of folks through training in a program called MichiganWorks.

Something to consider.
