Experience, Training & Getting Hired
Anyone else here have more than the 10 years of required experience? This can also used against you, making you overqualified, or saying your skills have not been kept up-to-date. You cannot have it both ways, Either they want someone who is management material, or they want someone who will need to be trained.

Yes ive often thought about that as i have over 30+ years in the trade industries i would like them to think im still trainable in other areas.

Thats a great point Gregory Shelton. At this point in my career I've only be kept out of opportunities due to lack of experience (and I'm always wishing I had more). Its kind of crazy though that the same problem can happen if you have more experience than places are looking for!
