I worked for a city municipality for 18 years.Had serious shoulder surgery that had me out of work for a year.Did not happen on the job.Fired after 4 months due to the family medical act as I was unable to physically do my job.After a year of not working,the city is not responding to future employers as they do not respond to any phone request about my job history .I was always on good standing as my job performances were always excellent.my union did not respond to me as well as my hr dept. did not send in paper work to give me insurance that was due to me because of my years of employment.They are hostile to me for no reason...any ideas of what to do?
