Hi community, Decent news for us job seekers in Western Massachusetts. MGM Casino and Resort is scheduled to open on August 24, 2018. According to MGM, they have filled about a thousand of the potential three thousand jobs that will be available. Most of their jobs require training, then a test, and finally licensing from the Massachusetts Gaming Commission. Which in turn would require a fairly clean background. Until now, the job market looked really bleak, with the eastern end of the state (Worcester and Boston), recovering more rapidly from the recession of recent times. Yes, some years have passed, but Western Mass is still struggling.

We have other good news, in the form of rail services to Boston, Worcester, Hartford, New Haven and surrounding areas. Which would make the commute to any of these destinations very quick and at reasonable rates.
