What can I do?
I was accused of stealing money at work, even though I explained the reason I voided a transaction an the customer paid because I rang it up again, I was so angry that I quit, it wasn't very much money, but they were so mean about it, a week later I went to pick up my check an after I left, was contacted by police an told I had stole someone else's check an the meet them at the police station, I was told charges would be pressed by the Manager, it was proven that I did not steal the check, and that the Manager had given it to another employee an yet there were no threats of charges being filed, while I sat at the jail waiting for it to be resolved. The police apologized to me an let me go. Why was it that I was going to be arrested an charged when I never saw the check, but the employee who had the check an cashed the check just made a mistake??
Sorry for ur troubles. Meanwhile move on. U are not charged w crime & there is no conviction. Look for another job and be mindful of $$ transactions. U can try a lawyer but the most u will get is move on or compensation for lost wages. The thing is since there are no charges most likely no police report either. Go forward.

Sounds crazy. You know the truth. I had somthing similar happen years ago. I moved on. I loved the job, but there wasnt teamwork . So move on keep your shoulders up youll be fine
Get attorney for wrongfull termination of employment and false imprisoionment .sue them

File a unlawful arrest case. If you were in jail and they knowningly or even unknowningly charged you with theft, get a lawyer and sue them for wrongful imprisonment. Most lawyers have first visit free to see if you have a case.

That manager needs to be FIRED! U should have spoken to someone above him! KARMA!!! That person will get theirs. Move on and stop stressing it!
