The best rejection letter...EVER!
“Looking at my desk full of fantastic applications is like looking into a box full of puppies, you wish you could keep them all. Unfortunately, this is not the case. I’m sorry to tell you that your experience and skill set are just not the perfect match we are looking for to fill this position. I have no doubt that there are many companies that will be thrilled to hear from a talented candidate like you. DON’T stop looking just because we said no. You have great skills that someone else WILL want and need, I promise. I wish you all the best (and I truly mean it). Keep going.

Although I'd still be disappointed about not getting they job, this is an awesome letter!
Rejection is a part of life and a job hunter should realize that they will not fit everywhere they apply. It is always better to hold out and get the job where you will be the most happy and productive.

If you knew this was standard boilerplate response from this company, would you think it was so great then? Not knocking it, but if I am being rejected, just tell me that so I can close the file.
This sounds like a bit of corporate ignorance. People shouldn't be judged by paperwork or work history. Jobs should be judged by intelligence. I've seen friends that can't get a job with a degree from great universities. They got by on parents that were wealthy. Some cheated and partied their way through college. I myself am a different story. I was born with intelligence. I was constantly bored in school because I learned very quickly. It's a bit of a curse since I undermine my bosses when I have a better idea. They then take my ideas and use them as their own.
