O! M! G!
If I make it to the next round of interviews, I will be shocked!! I had a great phone interview! Then, I was told that I needed to complete an assessment. Ok, I can do that. I pretty much flew through the mathematical portion. I was able to quickly calculate the answers, which required backing out, or reverse calculating equations. THEN! I was asked a series of questions which were more geared toward both IT and social networking. I do not use Facebook, Twitter, etc. This is for personal reasons. However, by not using them means I do not know, or completely understand the terminology. So my answers were “best guess”!! The position is management level geared to resolving customer issues. These issues can come from the customer directly or such entities as a state AG, FCC, FTC, BBB, etc. I have years experience negotiating with consumers and the agencies listed above to include the FBI, Secret Service and various state and federal regulatory agencies. But, if they heavily weight my performance in the social media section, I’m doomed! We shall see!.

I'm a web developer and I don't use Facebook or other social media outlets either and probably for the same reasons ;)

Keep your head up & think positive!!! ;)

Wishing you all the very best and positive outlook!

Just take a deep breath of fresh air positive thinking you'll be alright

I'm not social media savvy either, so learning this skill set can only help. I will take my own advice.

Please have FAITH! What GOD has for YOU is for YOU only and no one can take that away because HE created this opportunity ONLY FOR YOU! I truly believe that. You sound like an intelligent man. Be at peace and know that IF God does not have this exact opportunity for you, then HE has something FAR BETTER in the works. Please let us know what happens next. Pray and be at peace, whichever way it goes. GOD has not let me down yet!

If the employer is as knowledgeable as they want you to be, I'm sure you did fine. It would be a terrible irony if they judged you for not bothering with Facebook. Good luck!

C in CO -- what happened?? I'm dying to know how this ended up...
Signed, your friends at Jobcase (don't leave us hanging!)
