I know we can all relate....
You did not get HIRED even though you were fully qualified for the JOB. They did not even get back to you. Here are 5 reasons why.
- They want to hire a friend or a relative but they "need" to go through the motions of interviewing people.
- They simply wanted to pump you for information, "free consultation".
- You were "too good" and the insecure hiring manager saw you as a threat to own position.
- They wanted someone younger, someone they think they can boss around.
- They wanted someone with more experience, but they don't realise that it is not the number of years, but their quality that matters.
You know what, in all these cases, they don't deserve you ! The right company will hire you, keep on going !

Thanks for explaining thing, now I knew why troubles me, why I have college degrees and trade school plus numbers years of experience and ages too, maybe. I am awakes and get smarter after read your posted. Thanks again!

I've gotten many jobs and then something 'comes up'. Sorry! Wha... I was 100% committed, working hard to make a difference. Oh well, back to resume roulette.

The hiring practices of some employers is horrendous. I have had everything mentioned (except trans issues) and now I can also include disabled. And because most states are an at will state employees haven't a leg to stand on when they are either terminated or being discriminated against in the workplace.

I am going through this now. Or worse yet I am over wieght. They think just because I am fat I'm lazy. Not at all I work circles around most 20 year olds

It is still frustrating

I been through this a lot, the hire if you know some one in terms, hire if your friends, hire if you have kids though that's a good reason, hire if you try real hard if you are good enough, heres the worst one hire you to a higher position when you earn it but then say we have to many even though you had 12 years of hard work, yeah this is the harsh reality even if you are harass they don't consider you even though you are above them, good luck with this

Nothing, they are keeping trans people like me out of work on purpose. The company that fired me for being me, I haven't been able to take them to court. Seems like a huge waste of time. Yet I need to survive somehow. I've been living off the generosity of others. Not well enough to say living... But it's what I've got. 2 years without a job. Thanks world for hating me into Oblivion.

It's been really hard I have 23 years in retail management and I applied for a cashier at aldi's to bring in some money while I look for a position In my field, i had the interview i thought it went really well and I heard nothing! Not even a thanks for applying! I have been looking since may, I had an interview for a customer service rep. and that didn't work out either I don't know what I'm doing wrong!

No other choice but to keep moving on. God is not listening to me right now
I can agree with this. I believe we have pretty much all been there.
