Looking for work.....
It has been almost a year since I've worked. I've applied to several job openings via the internet....signed up with several temp agencies and still no offers. I've applied for a position with Target, Macy, etc and I get the response that we've reviewed your resume, however, we've decided to pursue other candidates. My previous jobs were in the oil and gas industry....have talked with recruiters and I was told that employers are afraid to hire people like me because they can't afford to pay me what I was making with my previous job and also the fear that I will leave once the oil and gas industry is back. Wow....scrambling trying to figure out what is the next step.
Cynthia, see what happens when you don't invest in yourself with a good education. Admin Assistant just means that you are a flunky for the COO or CFO. Now they make all the money and got the Master degree and you just make them look good. So now go back and do what you should've done in the first place..... FINISH that degree, and for the record Macy's Sears, Target, Walmart, and J. C. Penny are all closing and laying off by June to Dec. of this yr. Christmas really wasn't so Merry this season. So how many households spent $550 on average this season???? Go get a full degree and stop being a gofer for the Vice Pres of occupational affairs....
