Assistant store Manager
I have been in retail for a near 18 years. I started in commission and over the years drove my results in the result of being promoted 5 times. I have no college background, however have lots of experience. I truly would like to get into another industry, another field. I was recently laid off. I want a change, can anyone advise me.
Best move for jobs withput a degree is go to a temp agency. Many times the jobs they have dont require a degree because you work for them and not the actual company. Being a receuiter i have recommended this to many people that have asked me the same thing you did. I also did a job through a temp agency before when I ended a previous job and it isnt the worst idea.
Unfortunately I have had to make several career change's and even attended college for the purpose of getting educated and the fact I wanted to make more money and change my career choice. The best thing to do would be try and locate a company that is willing enough to train you OJT or go back to college.
