Why is it that so many truck drivers act like @$$holes to other professional drivers like ems providers?

Sorry it's the opposite. "Professional Drivers" are disrespectful to actual Truck Drivers. Been at this for some time now and I have seen the changes happening as they are happening. My Daddy raised me to flag down a Truck Driver if I couldn't find a cop. Not now days.
