What's going on???
How is it possible that so many companies and recruiters are in search of workers and seems to be having a hard time finding and filling these vacancies? Yet at the same time there are so many job seekers here and on other sites, with a ton of experience in search of a job/career for months that are probably more than qualified to fill many of these openings. Where is the missing link?
I agree Brenda plus who's already hired monopolizes other positions there. I know cause I've done it.
There's too many job seekers and not enough jobs.
My guess is internet gets in the way. Seekers often wait 2 weeks before being contacted. Employers get soo much junk in their mail they have a hard time searching and some just go strait to junk. Jumping through hoops to find employment online has never worked in my case. Yet, Here I Go Again
Half of us job seekers are either under qualified or over qualified, and the jobs either pass up due to seekers being over qualified or under qualified. Sad sad situation but so true.
to me it seems everyone has gone certificate crazy. real world experience not count anymore - just a certificate for everything. i've been a manager with domestic and overseas materials and cannot get arrested now in any industry without some certificate. can they stop killing trees and just hire ?

I live in Sevierville,Tn. I recently lost my job when my company closed my hospital.I seriuosly need to work as my wife is in a nursing facility that costs me $5000 a month .She has advanced alzheimers.My problem,i believe,is that i'm 72 years old.Trust me when i declare i am physically fit and mentally sharp..I have over 40 years experience in retail pharmacy and clinical hospital pharmacy.About half and half.I was a volunteer fire fighter and a NREMT-PARAMEDIC 15 years ago.I have tons of experience and keep up on continuing Ed.Yet i can't get any responces to my many applications..I am very capable and willing to work.Just can't get any reaponse!!
Yes i agree. Ive put in so many applications and ive even gone to Temp Agency's and nothing. Why it so hard to find work these days.
Because they have to make it all appear legit when in fact they always intended to fill the position with a friend or family member to begin with.
