Social Security Number to apply?????
Hello beautiful people!!!! You know, today I was applying for jobs opportunities, (on line of course)...two of them ask me for my social security number!!!!! HOW CAN IT BE?? I'm not employee yet!! For what?? I cannot finished the applications. That is illegal. Am I right?
Do not give them your ssn# very illegal
nope all they need is the last 4 numbers to look up to find out things.. not the complete number .. until hired... never give it out...
Hi Ivelisse: Thanks for posting to Jobcase! I've definitely seen this question before, and I understand the hesitancy with regards to sharing your SSN (besides, how do you know who's looking at it?). I think a lot of employers want that info up front because they want to weed out applicants who might not have legal permission to work that particular job. It's not illegal, but make sure you do enough research to ensure that you're not accidentally handing over your personal information to a scammer. Hope this helps!
