My experience with Startek
In the beginning it was a mess...the trainer was new and pregnant and the class ran all over her . I learned nothing. Then in comes this other trainer denetra. I thought so would be a good trainer but she turned out to be very uncaring and if she doesn't like you she will make sure you fail at your job as a customer service rep at startek. There program is complicated and there saying fake it til you make it is right. This is why Sprint customers are so made....people who are not properly trained and don't have enough floor support to help you are going to tell you anything to make the customer happy....floor support sucks there...they show you one time and expect you to remember while your having to run 3 different programs at once and type and listen to detail and have an angry customer call you names...no wonder Sprint customer are mad....heads up....sprint can't train there employees with an honest modo so who would want to use them as a carrier plus there service sucks ...they take it til they make it. Haye sprint
So hopefully you didn't quit just yet. I would have gone, with a very clear head, up to there boss and asked for a meeting. Great way to move up and actually care about a company.
Hi, Kellie. I'm so sorry you had a bad experience. I was put into a similar situation when I had a call center job. It was basically a sink or swim situation as far as training went and there were people coming and going all the time. I think for these types of jobs, they often don't put a lot of effort into training because they figure people will leave soon anyways. Not training people, however, only leads to more employee turnover so the problem snowballs out of control. I hope you're happier in a new place now!
