I recently was laid off from a job I had for nearly 8 months. I work for a Temp Labor provider here in Delaware so there were no benefits offered by the construction company I was contracted to. I am very good at re-finishing and repairing furniture so my question is what do I need to do (legally) to have my own business?

Hi Linwood Shields ! I think the best thing you can do is to one create an LLC to protect yourself and then also to insure your business. Here are some additional tips [here] (https://www.entrepreneur.com/article/297899) but when in doubt you can also check out additional articles on how to begin your own business or even borrow some resources from the library or purchase a book or two from Amazon. Do as much research as you can, but the key thing with any business is protecting yourself!
