I’m driven by challenges, multi-tasking, and change. I feel like my previous employers would have benefited more from my day to day contribution to the department and company if I would have been exposed to more of these opportunities.
In my opinion, are very clear about what they expect from me. I am goal-oriented, so when they say, "I need .... (fill in the blank)", then I work as hard as I can to give them what they need. They give me the freedom to decide the best way to get the job done (put another way: they DON'T look over my shoulder every second), but DO give me CONSTRUCTIVELY critical feedback at regular intervals. I also respond very well to praise, so if I get a small pat on the back, I'm energized for weeks!
My manager was really great at answering any questions I had, but also let me work things out for myself. Working the front desk of a hotel, you have times where you are by yourself. I loved that my manager let me have my own rhythm while I was there so I could have things flow the best they could. I think the freedom within the structure really helped me do the best I could and give the guests a great experience as well!
