Need help with retaliation
I work in California for the same company for over 8 yrs . Every year receiving great annual reviews . 7 months ago a new CEO was hired and by the third month it was obvious he doesn’t want to work with me.. He chastises me in front of my executive peers ,refuses to meet with me to discuss projects updates ,prefers to work with a director underneath my chain of command. Recently the director came to me because our CEO gave her a nick name that she felt uncomfortable when he called her that nick name . I reported the situation to ERO and now I feel he is retaliating against me for reporting him . Any suggestions to deal with this stituation ....

Next time let the person that may be offended handle the situation unless you are asked about it, especially if you do not have protection against unfair treatment, like a Union behind you.

Build a case with facts and not hearsay.

She needs to file her own claim immediately. You are her support. What he is doing falls under harassment. I totally agree with Michael Barlow. Document everything to the fullest extent with time/date. I wouldn't meet with him alone. Make sure every conversation is witnessed and/or recorded. Stand your ground, don't allow that creep to scare you off. If you do, he wins.

someone help me..how can I apply for this jobs..each time I apply ,the response is, my email is invalid and yet am getting notifications on the same email..am Anne from kenya

Sounds like you wore out your welcome

Just Talk to the CEO just tell him about you been noticing little discomfort between him and other workers just tell him you want to make sure if everything ok between the two of yall

Why didn't she report it? that was not your battle to fight, you have to know when to hold them and when to fold them. You could have suggested to her to report him, that was one time you should have folded and you may want to start looking for another job good luck.

If the CEO gave her a neck name she's not comfortable with, why should you be the one taking the blame for it ? It has nothing to do with you what so ever ! I would go to HR, and put in a complaint about the situation, and person involved in the matter, so you don't get in any trouble what so ever.

Document everything, keep memos, take written notes, print copies of emails!
As the persons direct supervisor sh had no choice but to report it. It's illegal not to.(in California that is)
