MACHINIST:

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Independently sets up and operates protoTRAK mills, lathes, saws, bending and pulltrusion operations. • Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of machine tool technology. • Works with a wide variety of materials, selecting speeds, feeds, and tooling to efficiently machine any part assigned to this position. • Performs complete machining, deburring and cosmetic finishing of machined parts in a safe and efficient manner. • Performs layout and precision inspection utilizing knowledge of ANSI Y14.5M Documents methods and procedures for efficient setups on repeat jobs. • Utilizes the computer terminal to maintain accurate record keeping. • Participates in the safety program and contributes to a safe clean work environment. • Assists less skilled shop personnel with determining best methods to achieve desired results in a safe and timely manner. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to perform math problems including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, geometry and trigonometry. • Ability to perform the required manual dexterity. Ability to perform required visual inspection of parts. • Ability to perform computer data input to track attendance and time spent on work orders. • Ability to utilize precision measuring devices to inspect dimensions accurately within± .0005 and angles± .5° Job Type: Full-time Job Location: San Jose, CA Required experience: • CNC Machining: 3 years • Bridgeport/Prototrak: 3 years
