Lost! And tired of looking!
So I was fired from my job of 5 years due to a point system they have. I was in a bad car wreck in March 2017 it was a head on collision and the woman that hit us ran! When I filed my claim the claim adjuster took a month and a half to get me a rental car and my car was totalled and the only vehicle we had. So my points added up due to no ride to work and my job let me go on my son's birthday in June. I was the only one working at the time for my family of 5.I have been filling out applications on line for almost a year now and not heard ANYTHING from any of them! I was a digitizing assistant and I am a medical assistant. I am wondering if they see how qualified I am and think I am over qualified! I am trying so hard to find a job, but here in Georgia is very hard. Why can't we just do things the old fashion way? Prayers please

U have my prayers. Don't see why jobs have a one size fits all system when each situation is different. I understand point systems but there needs to be exceptions for extreme situations, meaning that before this person had this misfortune through no fault of her own she never came close to getting fired by the point system and most likely would never have.
Don’t give up, sometimes bad things happen. Can’t blame your work place they need employees to show up, can’t blame you, you had an horrible accident. Yes you should have filed for Fmla but that’s in the past. Now just give it to God and something new and exciting will come your way. Stay strong, stay positive and just keep on fighting
Hi there. This is dottiekobak. I want you to know don't give. Redo your resume. Apply at temp agencies. Try the banks.credit unions or any other financial instution.car dealerships. You keep the faith of god and he will lead you in the right way. Bless you and your family

You certainly have my prayers it is difficult these days when everybody wants to do everything over a computer somebody can look great on a screen and be completely unsuitable when they show up in person you sound like a person who is fully aware of how to look and act in a professional environment and it's a darn shame that people no longer want to meet face-to-face talk to you shake your hand and get to know what kind of individual you really are keep plugging away I know you will find something good and I know your family is counting on you and that is a lot of pressure try to downgrade the stress as much as you can because if you do get an interview it can make you over eager and put off an employer or they may think you need that more than they need you which is an unfortunate fact in a lot of places these days not everybody places as much importance on the things that matter as they used to when I was younger back then not only hard work but attention to detail and quality was prized today a lot of people just show up try to do as much as they can of what's expected to them and get the hell out excuse my language it's a sickness that has become widespread unfortunately I believe that you can rise above that just know that somebody out here has faith in you
You must have had Elephant Insurance! Get signed with several temp agencies, this will get some money coming in and allow you to explore different jobs and experiences. This is a great opportunity to get to know some people and maybe get a permanent position. Sometimes it's not what you know, it's who you know. Ask God to lead you in the right direction and he will.
