Peer Recovery Specialist
I completed my training last September and have been volunteering at The Foundation for Recovery for the past year and was hoping to get employment working in the recovery field. If someone can direct me in a direction I would be deeply great full.

Where did you go for training and certification? Is there a site for that career?

Hi Mark. Try MPSU.com. Gayle Myers

Indeed, Glassdoor, Ziprecruiter, Monster, Career Builder and search online for non-profits.

Apply at a local clinic or hospital in your community in which you live at. You could also apply at Doctors Without Borders.

I suggest you google treatment centers in your neighborhood and then contact HR dept. and ask them via phone about employment .

Hello Mark,
I am a Recruiter/Headhunter and have access to a multitude of professional direct hire positions, throughout the US and some parts of Canada. For consideration of the open positions please send me your resume: twaasa413@gmail.com

Try Indeed .com

You might ask for some feedback where you are on your work. If it is good I would consider informing them you are on the watch for a paying job and would be honored if they gave it to you instead of some other company. That gives them the idea they might lose you if they don't come up with a paying job for you.

I recommend checking with your local hospitals or recovery centers for Drugs & Alcohol abuse.
I am in the same situation but without the volunteer experience you have or the training. Where did you get your training? Was it very expensive? Please help, any feedback would be much appreciated.
