What a Whack!!!
Finally, I got an interview for a customer service position. I was extremely excited after six months of job searching, I got some hope! I had my resume, references, dress professionally and was well prepared. Only to walk into a three person interview, still prepared I answered the questions they asked. Now, before the interview was over, they gave me a phone and asked me "to deconstruct it "? Completely thrown off, I tried my best of explaining with as much detail without rambling off of the process of a phone. I walked out, knowing it was horrible and just over all a bad interview. Few days later, I got a call with a job offer! I learned, the test is was not about the phone at all, but my communication skills, willingness to adapt to change, and be flexible.
Bingo! Many employers will ask questions that appear to have no relation to the job. There is no right answer. They do it to find the traits you mentioned.
