Virginia I am so sorry that the company could pull such a shananagin on you like that.You put your trust in them and they are idiots to dirty that up. It is not pointless. There is a beginning and an end to everything. This is an end to a chapter in your life at the moment but now you can start another one. Take a little time to get help for your drinking first and continue on with the help you will receive. Drinking is a daily and continuous battle until death.Then that will be done and over the next time you go out and work. This will become water under the bridge and you will feel more successful and better when you go out to get another job. I believe you will get another job if it is what you want and it will keep you busy.
