I was working for this company but I was going through a temp service. They was talking about hiring me cause they liked my work. Well my supervisor ended up going on vacation for over a week and a half. During this time the line leader took over and decided that while the supervisor was gone he would try and touch me. He was told by myself not to grope on me. He didn't care so kept trying everyday while supervisor was gone. So when I turned him in He got to keep his job and I got let go. No investigation.
If the person harassing you was painful and the company is covering it up. Then it’s time to publish the names of both and have them deal with the results of their actions. Why would someone protect their identity this is the question???
It sounds like you could sue them. Can you document what he did on what day? Word for word what you said to him? He should be fired.
I know this comment lends little to the resolution of your situation. But if what you say is true, then the person who harassed you, needs to be taken down at the knees with a baseball bat.
I wouldn’t waste my time on a lawyer. Had there been a witness, I would assume the tables would be turned and he’d be fired or it’s because You were with the temp agency as apposed to him being employed by the company. Much easier to dissolve the relationship with you over him. Id move on. Eventually that guy is gonna cost them a lot of money when he does get caught. Good luck
Jennifer,
Unfortunately, we do have predators in the workforce. I suggest seeking legal advise to initiate an investigation within this organization/company. Keeping things in prospective, this may or may not benefit you but others within the organization. Finally, is this a suitable work environment for you and other employees? No. Continue to do your part to eliminate predators in the workforce.
It always the case with those companies damn if you do damn if you don't. It is shame but that's the world we are living.
Pamela Loflabd has great advice. Show the company as well as the temp service that you are serious by sending a certified letter & keeping a paper trail. And I would also add - discuss with a lawyer & when you send the certified letter, copy him. When the company & the temp firm see that, they'll know you are serious. They may not like to see themselves in the paper or on the news. Hope this helps. We're with you, Girl.
Thank you all for all your advice and kind words it means so much to me.. Again thank you
