Fed up
I love to work. I worked when I wasn't supposed to others instead.. I get in a little trouble and get a big fat felony and now they don't want to hire me. McDonald's told me over experienced for the job and Burger King told me I didn't know enough... Un experienced ...

Give me an idea.

Google agencies for x felons...your past doesn't have to and SHOULDN'T dictate your present/ future! Pray...

Hey, your not alone! But you should tell your story. Get out there an get in their faces. And make a resume doesn't necessarily have to be about work! And getting in support groups help. It's only over if you say it's over. Life's a gift that's why it's called the present. Surround yourself with those kind of people. and I promise you your see a big change. But remember stay true to you and what best goes with you. I'm 20 and im still lost. Lol the economy's harsh I feel where you coming from and so do good employers. Anyways good luck

Ty I will try and let u know

Hi Kathy,
You're definitely not the only person on Jobcase going through this. There's a group just for ex-offenders on Jobcase if you'd like to join: https://www.jobcase.com/groups/EFDAAB25684C498FB2AFCC626B1E30C4
Here's a fantastic resource specifically for ex-offenders in the world: https://exoffenders.net/. This website was created to help folks in your position learn about their options and give them the tools they need to re-enter the workforce. They also offer a really helpful list of companies that are known for hiring ex-offenders: https://exoffenders.net/employment-jobs-for-felons/. You can search for jobs at these companies by clicking Jobs & Companies at the top of the Jobcase page to get the job search page!
Here's another site that might offer you some help: https://www.iseek.org/exoffenders/index.html-- it actually gives you information about some of the benefits for the employer for hiring you: https://www.iseek.org/exoffenders/find-job/benefits-ex-offenders.html.
Our job search page can be found at: https://jobcase.com/jobs/search. Some of the jobs on our site have 1 click apply, but for many jobs you need to click the job title to follow the link and complete the employer’s application process.
Let us know if you need anything else!

Have you tried a staffing company? I'm in staffing and my employees are mostly felons, what my clients have to do before hiring them on is run them through a staffing company, we have all made mistakes in our past and my employees (most of them) are looking for a second chance. It's worth a shot..
