Being put on a 2 week leave
I been at this restaurant for 4 months now , I'm a diabetic and due to my sugar being low my hands were cramping and was sent home that day and the next day , today my boss came to my house with a letter saying I have to take 2 weeks off due to my medical problems and can't come back without a doctor's excuse , I did not asked for these 2 weeks I think they are trying to slowly get rid of me because of it

Did they put you on FMLA or give you an option to use earned time off to allow you to get paid for the 2 weeks? I know it sounds like they’re looking for an excuse to get rid of you but I don’t think what they are asking you to do is illegal. The restaurant business is a hands on fast-paced working environment where every member of staff is a vital element to the success of the day to day operations. I think you should take that time to get yourself checked out with a doctor. There might be a simple and affordable option that will allow you to get back to work and not experience those cramps.
