Resume help

I need to "re-do" my Resume, however how do I find someone to help me. I know that these days potential employers are looking for specific wording (depending on the field you are in) in a Resume and I do not know how to find out what they are looking for in this regard. Further, the last 3 years my job history is doing contract work which makes it look like I have been "all over the place" jobwise. I am merely looking for a permanent full time job where I am treated with respect. I have received emails from 'Resume experts' who of course want money to help and besides not trusting these people I am unable to afford paying anything, I am barely paying my bills right now and after August do not know what I will do except lose my house and everything I have worked for the last 25 years.
Can anyone help?

Hi Val, make sure you update your profile here aka your resume with work experience, etc. There are services as you mentioned where you can use to pay for someone to go through your resume and make it better if you don't feel you want to do it yourself. My advice is to find one yourself and not necessarily go with those that reach out. Search the best company and price. That is totally up to you. They also will create key words which help when you are applying to jobs. It helps make your resume standout when they are weeding through them. You only need to do it once and than maintain. Here is a [great resource] (https://www.wozber.com/us/guidebook/tag/resume/) for help re-doing your resume on your own the right way and is free. I hope that helps!!
