I remember when I was younger my uncle used to work for a mining company. One of my family member is thinking about following in our uncle's footsteps. I was wondering, do they still exist in US? If so, are they health precautions he should be aware of? Is there special training?

Well I mean step one would be to research if you haven't tried that already. I you know the name of the mining company search it up on Google and see what info you can find in the database of the informed info on the site

Mining Engineers are in high demand in the industry right now. Engineers can earn up to six figures and it's probably one of the safest jobs in the mining industry. Miners or the laborers work long hours in highly dangerous environments. Injuries and fatalities are commonplace unfortunately.
