Temporary jobs and reapplying for unemployment

I am collecting unemployment in NY. If I take a temp job, will I have any trouble collecting again when it ends? I have applied to 2 different jobs and both say 3 to 4 months. Anyone have experience with this or just know?

When you claim your benefits report the days you have not worked and when asked ”have you returned to work?” reply NO. That way you remain in the system.

BILL WHAT NY LOOKS AT IS TOTAL EMPLOYMENT WHAT IT AMOUNTS TO IS TOTAL WEEKS WORKED SO YOU CAN RE-QUALIFY IF YOU WORK ENOUGH NO MATTER HOW MANY JOBS IT TAKES TO GET THERE, HOPE THIS HELPS ! JEFF

Based on my California experience, once your assignment has ended or your hours have been cut, you may reopen your unemployment insurance claim. The process is best done online, because applying by telephone is next to impossible, and a paper application will take too long, not to mention being prone to get lost in the shuffle.
