A few months ago I posted that I was doing the job of three people and was thinking of asking for a raise.

I then stated that I was going to wait to see how our year went with hitting our goals, if we hot bonuses, etc

Well, fate interviened.. A month ago I was hospitalized with pneumonia and sepsis. I was in the hospital for 7 days and then bedridden at home for two weeks. At work, they had to divide my work between 4 people. I figured when I did go back it would be given back to me, but no! My bosses finally realized that I was overworked! We can't hire anyone but some of my work is still being done by others, which has helped because I'm not back to working full days yet. So maybe in the end the blessing isn't more money, but not having to go full throttle everyday. Oh and being alive because there were a few days in the hospital that I thought I was not going to make it!

Oh my goodness that is so scary Rhonda Yates I am so glad you are ok! Given that you spent ALL that time doing that work and doing such a great job I don't see why being out sick would impact it. If anything hiring others shows just how much you were handling on your own. I wouldn't give up on asking for a raise!!
