Is it hard being pregnant in the workplace?

Physically limited, swollen feet, always hungry, and getting a terrible feeling that I’m intentionally being left out of new projects. How should I deal with this?

Hi Isabella, I've been pregnant a couple times while working. Although it is great that others are most likely just trying to be helpful, feel free to speak up if you don't mind the additional responsibility working on a specific project...just don't overdo....you and only you know if and what you can physically and mentally handle right now. Hope that helps.

The most important thing that you have to worry about is making sure you bring a healthy baby into this world. I worked OB/GYN for many years and I can tell you without a doubt that whatever you feel the baby feels it too.there will be time enough later to catch up. But I have a feeling that once the baby is born you will definitely feel more different from the way you view things. So relax, because soon that will be a thing of the past.

Yes, it is hard. Some managers will try to accommodate you but, some others will show no compassion(sending you late for lunch or not at all) It is tough working while being pregnant specially on those last weeks. I know how you feel.

Never been pregnant myself, but I think you should focus on your health! Co-workers should go out of their way to make you feel comfortable, and while you may think they are leaving you out of projects to put you down, they may just be trying to make your life a little easier. If you still feel like you are being left out, you should have an honest talk with co-workers - say you acknowledge that they are just trying to make you feel comfortable but would rather be treated like you used to! Good luck and congrats on the baby! Best wishes!
