Interview advice?
So I have an interview tomorrow for an admin assistant position. As well as I've done on interviews it's been a while and I'm nervous. My family basically depends on me getting back into the workforce so it puts quite a lot of pressure on my shoulders to make sure I get this position. Any advice when it comes to questions from the employers and what types of answers I should think about giving them? Of course everyone has a unique working background but any insight or advice may help. It seems the most common questions every employer asks is what I used to get stuck on. I just want to come in secure and confident in my capabilities but there's always a question that catches me off guard. Any advice? I pray all goes well. These two months have been so stressful.

just go in with knowledge of the company and a little backround of the campany and how u see yourself improving stuff, always stand/sit straight , never bash on your old boss becuase if u leave the employers will think you will do it to them aswell, make it short and simple and straight to the point (your resume and your interveiw) ... i hope this helps

Have self-connfident, try to know more about the position and God will be with you.

Mrs. Pauline, get a full rest, full energy meal, let go of your questions and stay firm. The worry comes upon the something, the unexpected desire you have to achieve. Your sure moment you look them in the eyes will mean you did not ask for a job. Instead inspired a non-handout. But a hand up.

I feel the same way I just want to go to one stable job everyday even tho it seems like it's impossible

Hi Erica: Thanks for posting on Jobcase! First off, I am glad you have an interview tomorrow and wish you well. A lot of the questions, you will receive is you ability to multi task different responsibilities as well as being organized. You might want to find out before hand what kind of computer programs that use in their company. What the mission statement of the company and what do they pride themselves on whether it's teamwork, innovation, focusing on the community, or helping the employees grow within the company, Also here are some other questions you might want to consider: What is your greatest strength and how will it help your performance in this position? How do you handle stress and pressure? What skills will you bring to our team?
Questions to ask the interviewer: Can you describe a typical day in this department? (depends if they already explain what the position entails) What are the strengths in this department? What are the weaknesses? What characteristics did your best assistant have? What skills are most important to you in an administrative assistant? (If they have not already said it) Does the company/department support memberships in professional associations, and continuing professional development? ( Meaning how will they help you or have helped other employees grow professionally in the company)
I hope this help, let us know how the interview goes and best of luck!
Congrats on the interview Erica, and best of luck! As far as advice........leave your worries at home. There is nothing to worry about Dear. :)
