Ashley is absolutely right....stop by in person and talk to the folks there. Personal interaction is crucial to developing relationships. If the manager is not there, talk to the other folks.

Further, always have copies of your resume with you. When out running errands, etc. don't hesitate to drop in on a business (cold call) and drop off a resume. Have a conversation with these folks, too. You may get pleasantly surprised. I wish you the best!
