Independence Day
Sadly, a large number of our current population do not know/understand why we (America) celebrate Independence Day. Here is a brief intro: By ANDREW GLASS 07/04/2018
"On this day in 1776, the Continental Congress, meeting in Philadelphia, adopted a document proclaiming that the 13 American colonies, then at war with Great Britain, no longer regarded themselves as part of the British Empire and had formed a new nation — the United States of America. The declaration justified the independence of the United States by listing the colonists’ grievances against King George III, and by asserting certain natural and legal rights..."
I know that many of us wonder what the future holds and how are we going endure these times. It all starts with you (and me) inspiring and instilling hope to those around us. We all know that the freedom we enjoy came with a treasonous price so let us endure and continue to love and encourage when we have the opportunity. Love people where they are at and not where you believe they should be. Seeing the best in one another takes on an attitude of selflessness, no matter what others may do or say. In the end, you will be known as an individual who loved and inspired others to greatness no matter the cost!
HAPPY JULY 4TH!

I agree Heather, but we parents must not rely on the schools to educate our children on the history of this great nation. I hope we all invest in our children so they can understand our rich history (the good, bad, and ugly). This will help them understand and appreciate the culture we live in. I know we have a lot going on in this country but I am proud to be an American and proud of our military men and women!!!

That was great! Now only if the kids would pay attention to this in school.

Clifton Williams LOVE this! Thanks for this incredibly powerful message and reminder as to why we celebrate July 4th. I will definitely continue to do my best encourage and inspire everybody around me. Have a great day today!
Clifton Williams Great post, Clifton! Coming to it a day late, but SO appreciate the reminder that freedom is not free. We should help each other as much as we can bc. there's too much hard stuff to accomplish to worry about the 'small stuff'.
