Termination
I was terminated from my job. I was told that it was because I "wasn't picking up on how to do the job". Let's start by saying I received little or no training on computer programs they were aware I did not know. I am a legal assistant for over 25 years and I am looking for a position jn New Orleans area.
My question about termination, are you still entitled to unemployment?
Sharon

I can tell you I have yet to see a company I've worked for do things the same way as another does. Each Company is different in the way they do things and yes it's a learning curve even if you've been doing the same job for 35 years as I have in the Procurement Field. I haven't see any two that are exactly alike. It does take time to get acclimated at a new job and they need to understand that. There may be some age discrimination going on also possibly? But yes, you can get you unemployment

They are jerks . Those people could have trained you if they saw that you needed more training. Heartless people nowadays , people have bills to pay. Don't worry you'll find another job hopefully it's way better than that one.

Sharon, you are intitled to recieve unemployment

I have been off work for 26 weeks and I will be let go from my job. I had surgery on my shoulder and it has taken time to heal. I have already talked to a disability lawyer and unemployment to have information on what I need to do . I'm in NY

Yes you are!!!!

YES EVEN THOUGH YOU WERE LET GO YOU STILL EARNED YOUR BENEFITS

YES YOU BARE THE UNEMPLOYMENT OFFICE IN YOUR AREA SHOULD REVIEW THE CASE AND IF THEIR IS NOTHING SUBSTANTIAL OR ILLEGAL YOU SHOULD STILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR YOUR BENEFITS

Sounds like driveline go to do plan roams for gift cards never shown want you to look professional hardly see pictures some blurry.

You should be able to get unemoyment I hope that you will get another job soon.
I believe that to qualify for unemployment you have to have become unemployed by no fault of your Collecting Unemployment After Being Fired
If you were fired because you lacked the skills to perform the job or simply weren't a good fit, you won't necessarily be barred from receiving benefits. If you were fired for deliberate misconduct relating to the job, however, you may be disqualified from receiving benefits. You will also be disqualified if you are convicted of a felony or misdemeanor or if you knowingly violate a reasonable and consistently enforced workplace rule, except where your violation of the rule is merely a result of incompetence.
I copied and pasted this from NOLO a legal website
Best of luck sometimes people just stink! It’s not you it’s them! Hold your head up stand tall
