Work-From-Home jobs for "Vintage" Workers
Like fine wine, cheese, and Jennifer Aniston; some things just get better with age.
Older workers are finding it very difficult to get back into the workforce after a layoff or retirement as businesses look toward younger generations of workers to carry them for the next few decades.
If you are a vintage worker, looking for work from home opportunities, consider looking into https://wahve.com/
Wahve seems to cater specifically to the pretiree market of employee. They define pretiree as "A vintage professional who has left the traditional workforce to phase into retirement in a work-at-home position and remain valued and engaged."
They have quite a few professional-level positions that are legit remote positions that older workers can do from home.
I have researched the site and read reviews and there is no cost to become a Wahve employee.
Pros There are a lot of Pros such as good work/life balance, friendly staff, great communication, good variety of job types, and flexibility.
Cons There are cons too. Some of the most common are the rate of pay isn't the best, but better than retail/hospitality. Other cons are that the positions are considered 1099 contractor, so there are no benefits and you have to set aside money to pay your taxes at the end of the year. Some previous employees have claimed that they never got an assignment, while others claimed the company they were placed with were disorganized.
I do not use this service myself, and I don't know anyone who has personally, so I can't answer any questions about how it works, etc. I am simply sharing the link and a bit about the company that I was able to find online.
If you land a job with them, please let other senior workers here know if it is worth it to enroll!
Best of luck!
Good grief that's a crappy thumbnail.
